What data does OnTours Software OG collect when you download and use the app?

The processing of personal data in the context of app use is carried out in accordance with the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the applicable Austrian legal provisions (DSG, TKG 2021).

ACCESS DATA (LOG DATA)

General: When you visit our app, access data is stored in log files. The following data is recorded:

• IP address
• Date and time of access
• Browser type and version
• Operating system of the accessing system
• Website from which the accessing system accesses our app (for links)
• Sub-websites that are accessed via the accessing system on our app
• Internet service provider of the accessing system

• PURPOSE OF DATA PROCESSING:

This information is required to display the content of our app correctly, to resolve technical problems, to improve user-friendliness and to ensure the long-term functionality of our IT systems and the app. In the event of a cyberattack, this information is also made available to the law enforcement authorities. The data will not be passed on to third parties or recipients in countries outside the EU. The data collected (with the exception of location data) is used for statistical evaluations to improve data protection and data security at OnTours Software OG. On the other hand, they are used for the further development and optimization of the app, for troubleshooting and for managing server capacities. The server log files are stored separately from other personal data.

Storage period: Your data (web server log files) will be stored for a maximum of two years.

Legal basis: The processing of access data (web server log files) is based on the legitimate interest of OnTours Software OG pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR (provision of the app and data security).

Registration

No registration is required to use the full functionality of the app.

Data processing

General: When using the tour offer in the app, we record your current location via GPS in order to be able to provide you quickly with information about your immediate surroundings. The location data is only used for the provision of audio content during the tour offer.

The authorizations required to use the app are

• Location data during use and in the background
  • The location data is recorded locally on your end device for the use of the app. The location data will not be passed on to third parties and will not be further processed or used by OnTours-Software OG. They only serve the functionality of the app offer. This involves playing audio content to users based on their location.

Data security

As the company responsible, OnTours Software OG has implemented numerous technical and organizational measures to ensure comprehensive protection of the personal data processed via the app. OnTours Software OG takes appropriate technical and organizational measures in accordance with Art. 32 GDPR, taking into account the state of the art, the costs of implementation, the nature, scope, context and purposes of processing as well as the likelihood and severity of the risk to the rights and freedoms of natural persons. The measures taken include the pseudonymization and encryption of personal data, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, availability and resilience of the systems and services in connection with the processing and the implementation of procedures to regularly review, assess and evaluate the effectiveness of the technical and organizational measures to protect the processing. Please also note that you should treat your access data for the app confidentially and protect your end device from unauthorized access.
